There are so many times when we like a guy but do not know if he is interested in us. Sometimes, when a man is just being courteous we mistake it for being interested and what follows is heartache and intense embarrassment. If your instincts do not guide you too well and lead you to inevitably get interested in men who are generally not interested in you, here are some ways to know if you are wasting your time or is he genuinely interested in you.

Watch his eyes
If a man is interested in you, he will look into your eyes while talking to you. Or when you are talking to someone else do you find him checking you out? Men instinctively cannot but help looking at what their mind likes. So if you catch his eye, then he is into you.

Does he mimic your body language
When you are talking to him, do you find him imitating your body language? When we are interested in someone, we tend to involuntarily mimic their body language. You will find that he will lean in when you do so or he will move back after or as you are doing so. This clearly expresses that he is interested in you.

Is he trying to find out about your current relationship status
Does he try to find out what your current relationship status is, if you are seeing someone or are available for dating? He is not trying to get all this information out for his neighbor, so the minute you find him asking these questions, know that he is trying to get you to go out with him.

Is he trying to impress you
If he is interested in you, he will try to impress you with his achievements and his so called “alpha male” status. While doing so he is simply trying to market himself to you and why would he do that if he was not interested in you?

Does he touch you while talking to you
You will find that he will touch you on your arm or even your leg (in a non-creepy way) if he is interested in you. When he does so it clearly indicates that he likes you and is opening himself up to you.

Does he let you know of his availability
He will try and communicate his available status to you by means of telling you that he is doing such and such thing alone over the weekend, or is just hanging out with his friends. He might even offer you to join him in some activity if he is interested in you.

Do his interests match yours
No matter how vague your interests or hobbies are, if he likes you, you will find that your hobbies match. That is a clear indicator of his interest.
