With everyone you know getting hitched, it may seem that the road to happiness is to get attached. Finding your life partner may be one of the better things in life but one should not be too engrossed with entering into a relationship. Worse still, enter into a relationship with the wrong person and causing you unnecessary grief. You should enjoy every moment of singlehood and value your status as a single, while you still can!

What singlehood can offer is the unbridled independence that you may lose when you get into a relationship. Now, you can do what you want, do what you feel like, blast your favourite music and watch whatever channels you like. When you are married, depending on your partner’s preferences, you may not enjoy the things you can now. The beauty about being single is that the only one you need to take care of is yourself, which means that you can go ahead and make yourself happy without compromising on someone’s happiness. Spend time with your friends and family and that can spice up your life if you feel lonely when you see people getting in pairs.

Also, you can go ahead and date anyone you want. I am not encouraging people to be promiscuous but this privilege is lost when you get attached so why not just enjoy it now? I believe that the key to happiness is that it is not given by anyone, but is a choice that we can make. The most the love of your life can give you is that he or she makes it easier for us to choose the path to happiness. This is why some singles end up so happy while some marriages end up in the courtrooms. Happiness is a conscious choice so whether you are single or not, you can make that choice!
